This series illustrates how we can use various adjustments, corrections and effects to bring out what is inherent in a scene. To borrow a term from the days of darkroom processing, we can use many creative steps to "develop" an image.

• Applied a vintage warm toning with a Photoshop Gradient Map
• Cropped to a custom aspect ratio (10x15.2)

This image was a good candidate for applying a painterly treatment: the taking lens was an old manual focus design and the photographer failed to get sharp focus.
